REINVENTING MATURITY: AN ANALYSIS OF GUIDA

RESUMO
Este trabalho traz uma reflexão sobre o curta-metragem Guida, dirigido por Rosana Urbes (2014). O curta apresenta a história de uma mulher idosa, que decide trabalhar como modelo vivo. A exposição da nudez da personagem, rompe com estereótipos da mulher acima dos 60 anos, reinventando a imagem da idosa caseira e recatada. A narrativa discute a relação entre maturidade, autoaceitação, liberdade e felicidade. No presente estudo, é utilizada uma metodologia, na qual segmenta-se o filme em cenas, a partir de um elemento essencial do próprio filme. O fio condutor escolhido para a realização desta análise fílmica é composto pela cor vermelha e pela cor sépia, ambas utilizadas de maneira a costurar todo o filme e cumprindo função metafórica, produzindo sentidos e espelhando as mudanças subjetivas da personagem principal.

ABSTRACT
This work brings a reflection about the short film Guida, directed by Rosana Urbes (2014). The short presents the story of an elderly woman who decides to work as a live model. The exposure of the character's nudity breaks with stereotypes of women over 60, reinventing the image of the elderly homely and demure. The narrative discusses the relationship between maturity, self-acceptance, freedom, and happiness. In the present study, a methodology is used, in which the film is segmented into scenes, based on an essential element of the film itself. The common thread chosen to carry out this filmic analysis is composed of the red color and the sepia color, both used in order to sew the entire film and fulfilling a metaphorical function, producing meanings and mirroring the subjective changes of the main character and its subjective changes.
